Bukit Bintang Shopping District



Bukit Bintang is the shopping district in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysian as well as foreign nationals flock to the place whenever they need their shopping cravings satiated. In addition, a good many food establishments are nestled in the area.


Bukit Bintang is one of the components of the famous Golden Triangle located in the city of Kuala Lumpur. It is the most tourist frequented part of the city. It boasts of many shopping malls, night clubs, restaurants, boutiques and hotels. Tourists and even locals are very fond of visiting this area as it has the gigantic malls like Berjaya Times Square, Low Yat Plaza, Pavilion and Bukit Bintang Plaza.


Bukit Bintang, which means "Star Hill" in Malaysian, is located at the intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Bukit Bintang and is part of an area known as the "Golden Triangle" district. Bintang Walk is crowded with locals and visitors on Friday nights and the weekends.


It is very easy to get to the "Golden Triangle from anywhere in Kuala Lumpur with public transport.The monorail, designed for tourists in mind, travels through this area of up-market shops, high-class restaurants, international hotels and nightlife.
